This dryer is a traditional "wolf-style" dryer.
The hot air from the furnace gets distributed at the bottom of the 3 layered dryer and systematically dries each layer of hops. The wet hops gets loaded at the top floor of the building. Then via mechanism and louvered floors the hops will be dropped in the drying process until it reaches the 'drawer' floor where it can be removed when dry.
This unit consists of:
- Custom Steel frame and siding
- 10'x10' louvered drawer to unload hops to condition floor
- 2 - layers 10'x10x louvered floor with mounting hardware
- manual tilting mechanism to tilt louvers to 'drop' the layers of hops
- 3HP Blower for furnace
- Sukup Propane Furnace
